And while I always love seeing what gets marked down during Prime Day, I’m also a big believer in shopping intentionally rather than buying something simply because it has a sale tag attached to it.
My approach is usually pretty simple: if something I already own and recommend goes on sale, or a piece I’ve been considering for our home gets marked down, that’s when I pay attention.

why I like shopping the early deals
Prime Day itself can feel a little overwhelming. There are thousands of deals, prices are constantly changing, and suddenly everything feels like something you need.
Shopping early gives me a little more time to be thoughtful about what’s actually worth purchasing.
I like to start with things that were already on my list, pieces we use regularly, and home finds that I know I’d recommend regardless of whether they were on sale.
And there are already plenty of those deals worth looking at.

a good time to think ahead
One thing I especially like about this October sale is the timing.
We’re entering the season of hosting, cozy nights at home, holiday decorating, and eventually gifting. If there are things you know you’ll need over the next few months, it can be helpful to start looking now rather than waiting until the last minute.
I’m using the sale to keep an eye on home staples, hosting pieces, everyday essentials, and a few things I’ve been wanting to update around our own home.
But as always, a sale doesn’t make something a good purchase simply because it’s discounted.
And this is only the beginning. I’ll continue watching the deals and updating my list as more prices drop, but there’s already a really good mix of furniture, lighting, decor, and practical home finds worth browsing. If something you’ve already been considering is on sale now, I wouldn’t feel like you have to wait for the official event to start.
